Lunch is served on the banks of the valley in the village of Ighrm Aqdim, followed by another 1.5-hour walk to reach the village of Aguerzaka. Don’t forget to bring tennis shoes, as we will have to cross the river several times. Walking time: 5.5 hours. Elevation gain: 500m ascent and 400m descent. Overnight stay with a local.

We leave this valley, very green with its beautiful kasbahs and gorges, to climb 300 meters to the pass that leads us through a juniper forest to the Ameskar Valley. Once again, we reach the beautiful Almdoune Valley, with about a hundred mud-brick kasbah-shaped houses.
